Activities of the Academy

Language Academy Torrox (AIT) is a private language school located in a small town in the south of Spain. In our school you can study Spanish, English and German. Do you want to learn the language in a school with a family atmosphere? If so, write to us and we will give you more information.

We are a center accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and we are a preparation center for the DELE, Cambridge and Goethe exams.

At our school you will have the opportunity to meet other people of other nationalities and learn the language with native teachers who love to teach.

At AIT we offer cultural activities of interest to our students. A guided tour of the village to get to know the most emblematic places, anecdotes and above all, the local people. Do you want to meet the locals with our teachers? You will be surprised how friendly they are as you walk through the streets of our town.

Roman Route: Visit to the Torrox lighthouse

We also offer a guided tour to discover the Torrox Lighthouse, the Roman ruins, the salted fish factory, where the famous ‘garum’ was made and we finish this tour of light and history tasting the typical ‘pescaíto frito’ from Malaga in one of the cosy terraces of the Paseo Marítimo de Ferrara.

Ruta por Nerja

Comenzamos nuestro viaje en el siglo XIII desenterrando los orígenes de la antigua alquería de Narija en 1230, para luego adentrarnos en los secretos arquitectónicos y los lazos vecinales de la Iglesia de El Salvador. Por supuesto, no ha faltado nuestra parada nostálgica junto a la escultura del mítico Chanquete a mitad de la bajada de El Salón.

¿Uno de los momentos más divertidos? Convertirnos en detectives históricos en la reola del Balcón de Europa para descubrir los secretos de la antigua fortificación y los cañones rescatados del mar. Después, paseamos por la emblemática Calle Carabeo aprendiendo sobre el antiguo camino de ronda militar y deteniéndonos frente a la Casa nº 14, donde el mismísimo Federico García Lorca veraneó en el año 1931. Hemos cerrado esta fantástica ruta por todo lo alto en el Mirador del Bendito, maravillándonos con la imponente geología de los tablazos.

Porque aprender una lengua no es solo memorizar gramática en el aula; es salir a sentirla, debatirla y asimilarla a través de la historia viva, la literatura y el paisaje.

Exchange Linguistic

We organise language exchanges between our students so that you have the opportunity to practise Spanish and meet new people. This activity is included in the price of the Spanish course and takes place sporadically.
