Academia de Idiomas Torrox was set up in 2007. Its objective was to meet the language study needs of the mature students who choose to live in the Torrox (Málaga) area permanently, for 6 months or several weeks, returning each year to resume their studies. It also teaches Spanish to younger students who come to Spain to study Spanish and play sports, in particular football. AIT students come from all over Europe – UK, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands etc.
LOCATION
The academy is situated just two minutes from the main square of the town, which has become the meeting point for so many people of different nationalities. Spanish students can enjoy the authentic environment of a white village and experience the culture. The language academy has good transport links by bus and car and is easily accessed on foot. It is near the Town Hall, Police Station, Civil Guard, Post Office, Health Centre, schools and bus stops….
FACILITIES
The facilities in the building have access for disabled students. Originally the academy had two classrooms, but was recently increased to three, due to increase in demand, all have natural lighting: “Cervantes Classroom”, “Shakespeare Classroom” and “Goethe Classroom”.

ABOUT US
The teachers of AIT put a lot of effort into creating a comfortable atmosphere that ensures students can immerse themselves in learning a new language and culture proficiently. The teachers have found that these students not only want to learn a language but also the Spanish culture, including characteristics of the locals, their habits and traditions. The objective is to enable immersion into the Spanish way of life. It is worth noting that the students stay and study for a long time and the relationship between teacher and student is very close.
